Chronicles of Never - Australian Men’s Label

Sydney-based label Chronicles of Never founded by Australian designer Gareth Moody has emerged as one of the most interesting names in fashion delivering one-of-a kind unisex clothing, shoes, accessories and jewelry.

The whimsical, angular aesthetics of CON is “loosely based upon mathematics and heavily influenced by architecture and geometrics, big manga dreams and a love for industrial material”. The shoe collection has a certain 18th century vibe, reminding me of the Charles Dickens dark and mysterious stories. Moody himself admits of mixing modern with old world elements, and the result is quite unique and appealing.

African Scarification - Scars, not for the faint of heart.
Scarification is an ancient African tribal body art that involves purposely scarring the skin to create raised marks and/or complete patterns.
It’s generally believed that scarring was developed because the dark pigmented skin of the indigenous African people was not ideal for tattooing. By opening the skin, the uppermost layer of pigment was broken and filled in with slightly lighter shades of scar tissue.
