Billy Reid showed off some upcoming styles for the Autumn and Winter 2010 seasons. Their take on the saddle shoe is a rugged beast for the cold seasons that keeps moisture and urban grime away.

The Hansen Family Trunk
Gesa Hansen, the Scandinavian designer behind the very warm The Hansen Family line of fine oak wood furniture, takes her sourcing seriously. Their “Homegrown” theme for business extends into the natural oak resources which they harvest from local forests. Growing up in a family of carpenters and designers has surly helped as well. Nothing works in your favor more than a solid family “tree” of support. For now, we look at her “trunk” – a simply yet beautiful two box construction which splits open to reveal dresser drawers, cupboard shelving, and a unique rack like hanger which finishes off the trunk beautifully.

We love our Wurst
“The Wurst Work Shirt is our dressed up take on an iconic silhouette, making its auspicious debut in Italian Indigo Chambray. Easily the finest chambray we’ve ever laid our eyes (and hands) on, it was in fact the fabric that inspired our newest shirt style. Much like our inaugural edition, we’ve manufactured these locally just outside the city at a small-run factory where quality has trumped quantity for over 75 years. Features button-down collar and chest pockets, locker loop, fly back (which creates a slighly slimmer cut) and a very handy pen pocket (no mere slit into the chest pocket, mind you).”  Available for pre-order now exclusively at thewursteditions.com, shipping in mid-February.

Multifunctional Collar Stay
We all need this one. A titanium “multi-tool” collar stay from Exuvius that features a built in Phillips screwdriver and bottle opener – two essentials for the urban man. How many times have you been over a friend’s home and they needed a dresser knob tightened (don’t answer that). ”Useful people are winners; so be a hero, save the day, and make sure that this titanium laser-cut collar stay is the only tool in your shirt.”
